HTML Email to Figma
Privacy Policy
The plugin was made so your emails stay yours. This policy explains what it stores, which requests it makes, and what it never does.
1. At a glance
| What | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| The HTML of your emails, and the pictures you add | Stay on your computer, inside Figma. We never receive them. |
| The design the plugin makes | Stays in your Figma file. |
| Pictures, fonts and styles an email links to on the web | Downloaded from the sites that host them, only from public https addresses. |
| Your count of free emails | Kept on your computer and, to protect the limit, also at our credits service as a random install ID, a random conversion ID, the month and the plugin version. |
| Payment for Pro | Handled by Figma. We never see payment details. |
| Account with us, analytics, ads, tracking | None. |
2. Who is responsible
HTML Email to Figma is designed and developed by Rocuo (“we”), a software studio powered by Maool. Contact us at [email protected]. For the rocuo.com website itself, see the website privacy policy.
3. What is stored on your computer
The plugin keeps four small items in the storage that Figma gives to plugins, on your computer. They hold no email content, no file names and no personal details.
- Your choices: whether to prefer local picture files, whether to make a Mobile frame, the Mobile width, and the size of the plugin window.
- A random install ID: made by the plugin for itself. It is not linked to your name, your email address or your Figma account.
- Your usage: the month, how many free emails you have used, and the random IDs of your last 50 conversions, so a given-back email is not counted twice.
- Updates waiting to be sent: up to 50 count updates, kept while the credits service cannot be reached.
4. Your emails and pictures
The plugin converts an email on your computer, inside Figma. The HTML you paste or open, and the pictures you add, are never uploaded to our servers, and we cannot see them. The email is shown in a sealed page inside the plugin. Scripts, forms and frames in it do not run, and it may only load pictures, fonts and styles from public https addresses that the email itself names, or from the big web font services.
5. Requests to other websites and to us
We use no third-party analytics, tracking or advertising service. These are the only requests the plugin makes:
| When | Who is contacted | What for |
|---|---|---|
| You convert an email that links to pictures, fonts or styles on the web | The sites that host those files, public https addresses only | To place them in your design. These requests go from your computer to those sites, exactly as in a web browser. They can see your IP address and the usual details of a request. We do not receive or log them. |
| The plugin opens, you convert an email, or a failed run is given back | Our credits service (api.rocuo.com) | To count your free emails. It receives the random install ID, the random conversion ID, the month, the plugin version and the usual technical details of a web request, such as the time. It never receives the content of an email, a file name or any detail of your Figma account. It can answer with a short notice, for example that a newer version of the plugin exists. |
| You choose to buy Pro, once it is on sale | Figma | Figma runs the checkout. The plugin only learns whether your account has paid, so it can show the free plan or Pro. |
If the credits service cannot be reached, the plugin keeps working and counts on your computer.
6. The credits service and how long we keep data
The plugin counts your free emails on your computer. It also tells the credits service about each conversion, so a second count exists and your limit is not lost if the numbers on your computer are lost or changed. We store the install ID only as a keyed hash, so a copy of the database does not reveal the IDs. The data is kept in a database at Cloudflare, our hosting provider. Our own code does not store IP addresses.
| Record | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| A single conversion (its random ID and the month) | 35 days |
| Monthly totals | The latest three months |
| An install ID (as a keyed hash) | 400 days after it was last used |
Older records are deleted automatically.
7. Payments
Pro is paid through Figma. We do not see your payment details, and we do not store them. Figma tells the plugin only whether your account has paid. The plugin asks for the Figma payments permission for this one reason.
8. Permissions
- Payments: to learn from Figma whether you have paid for Pro, and to open Figma’s checkout.
- Network access: to download the pictures, fonts and styles an email links to, which can be on any public https address, and to reach our credits service.
The plugin has no access to your other files, your account details or your other plugins.
9. This website
This website sets no cookies and has no analytics or tracking scripts. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. If you write to us, we use your email only to answer you. See also the website privacy policy.
10. What we do not do
- We do not collect, store or receive your emails, pictures, file names or designs.
- We do not read your Figma files or your Figma account details.
- We do not use analytics, crash reports, ads or tracking.
- We do not sell personal information or share it with anyone.
11. Your choices and rights
Because the install ID is random and not linked to you, we usually cannot tell which records belong to which person, and they are deleted automatically as described above. If you think we hold information about you, or if you wrote to us and want what you sent shown, corrected or deleted, email [email protected] and we will answer within a reasonable time. You may have more rights under the law where you live, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
12. Children
HTML Email to Figma is a professional design tool and is not directed at children.
13. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version is published here with its date. If a change ever affects how your data is handled, we will tell you inside the plugin before it takes effect. Questions? Email [email protected].
